I SHOOT (with a camera, of course). Sports - be it football, motorsport or even a snail race. If it moves, I will shoot it. Architecture - both interiors and exteriors, and in the past have shot the White Orchid Resort at Candolim, the Best Western Peace Valley at Quepem and a few other boutique homes and resorts. The beauty of nature and occasionally enter them into photo contests (and win them as well, I might add).
In case you’re wondering, I do modelling portfolios too, but only if you’re PC or Kat, or the figure on your cheque has at least six zeroes on it (BEFORE the decimal) ;)
In 2009 I co-founded the Goan Shutterbugs, a club for photography enthusiasts. Apart from having a lot of fun with photography, it is our endeavour to capture for posterity the rich heritage and culture of Goa. Do check our website on Goan Festivals - www.goanfestivals.in which feature a lot of my photos.
My photos have been published in dailies, magazines, used in catalogues, websites and many others. GOA Tourism 2015 wall calendar features 4 of my photos, the months of March, April, July and November.
Some more trivia about me that you might find interesting: If you are using a Samsung mobile bought in India, two of the pre-loaded wallpapers in it were clicked by me. I won the first and third place in the 2010 Samsung Mobile Wallpaper photo contest in the macro category. I also won the NDTV Picture of the Day contest in 2012 for a photograph of the Sookia Patia Tiger clicked at the Bandhavgarh National Park and the second place for a picture of a bug at the Goa Environment Photo Contest in 2011. Many of my pictures, printed on large canvas, adorn walls all over Goa, including the ones at the Fr. Agnel’s Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration at Verna and many hotels.
Presently I am working on two photography projects - GOA Then and Now: a coffee table book that will showcase Goa - how it was 100 years back and how it is now and a photo book on People of Goa.
